Defensible space is the local job
Verdi sits in the Truckee River canyon at the west edge of the valley, where the high desert meets the Sierra foothills. That means real tree cover, real fuel loads, and a genuine wildfire exposure that shapes what property owners rent containers for. The dominant job here is not a kitchen remodel, it is clearing: limbing up trees, removing dead brush and juniper, pulling out old woodpiles, and creating defensible space around structures.
Brush and limbs are bulky and light, which makes the 30 yard the right container for most clearing work. You will fill the volume long before you approach the 3 ton allowance. A 20 yard handles a smaller lot or a single season of accumulation.

Access is the real constraint
Verdi properties are frequently up long private drives, on grades, or off gravel and dirt access roads. A loaded roll off truck is heavy and needs a firm, reasonably level surface with room to maneuver. Before you book, think honestly about whether a full size truck can get in, turn, and get back out. If access is tight, tell us in the placement notes and we will work out whether a smaller container or a staging spot closer to the main road is the answer.
Winter compounds this. Snow and ice on a steep private drive can make a drop or pickup unsafe, and we will reschedule rather than put a truck somewhere it should not be. Plan clearing work for the shoulder seasons when you can.
Jurisdiction
Verdi is unincorporated Washoe County, not the City of Reno, so Reno's encroachment permit rules do not apply. On private property, which is nearly all of it here, no permit is required. See the permit page if a right of way placement is unavoidable.

What size do I need for brush and defensible space clearing?

Can you get a truck up a steep gravel driveway?
Sometimes. Describe the access in your placement notes when you book. If it is too steep, narrow or soft, we will suggest a staging spot closer to the road.
