Bigger lots change the job
Spanish Springs is mostly newer construction on larger parcels, and a good share of it is horse property and rural residential acreage. That changes what people rent containers for. Instead of tight interior remodels, the typical job here is property scale: clearing brush and dead landscaping, tearing out old fencing across a long property line, demolishing a barn or outbuilding, or removing a failed patio or driveway apron.
Larger lots also mean placement is easy. Long driveways and open gravel pads give the truck plenty of room, and a 30 yard is usually no harder to set here than a 10 yard is on a Midtown lot.
Watch the weight on property jobs
The most common costly mistake in this area is a mixed load. Old decorative rock, dirt from a regrade, a broken concrete pad and fence posts set in concrete all go in the same pile mentally, but they are heavy material and they belong in a separate clean load. See the concrete and dirt page before you start filling one container with everything.

Jurisdiction and permits
Most of Spanish Springs is unincorporated Washoe County rather than a city, so City of Reno and City of Sparks permit rules do not apply. On private property, which covers nearly every rental here, no permit is required at all. If a container has to sit in a county right of way, confirm requirements with Washoe County. Our permit page covers how to figure out which jurisdiction you are in.
Seasonal timing
Defensible space and brush clearing work concentrates in late spring and early summer, before fire season tightens up. That is also when containers are in the highest demand across the north valley, so book a few days ahead rather than the morning you want it. Winter access on unpaved driveways and gravel pads can be limited after a storm, and we will tell you if conditions make a drop unsafe.

Frequently asked questions
Do you serve Spanish Springs?
Reno is our primary service area and Spanish Springs is served subject to availability confirmation. Submit your address and date and we verify coverage first.
Do I need a permit in Spanish Springs?
Most of the area is unincorporated Washoe County, and on private property no permit is required. For a county right of way placement, confirm with Washoe County.
What size works for clearing a property?
Brush and light debris are bulky, so a 30 yard is usually right. Keep rock, dirt and concrete in a separate 10 yard clean load.
Can you deliver to a gravel driveway or pad?
Usually yes, as long as it is firm and level. After a winter storm, soft ground can make a drop unsafe and we will reschedule rather than risk it.
